How to restore Apple Music access after changing iCloud region on iPhone 11?

Hello Apple Support,

I’m having an issue with Apple Music on my iPhone 11 (iOS 17.0.3).

I changed my iCloud region from Nigeria to the USA and then back to Nigeria. Since then, Apple Music keeps asking me to subscribe even though my MTN Nigeria Apple Music plan is still active.

Also, Sync Library won’t turn on — the switch flips off instantly with the message “Turn on Sync Library to listen everywhere.”

I’ve already tried signing out/in, restarting, reinstalling, and resetting settings, but nothing changed.

Please help me fix this and restore my Apple Music access.

Thank you.

Changing your region breaks carrier-bundled Apple Music.

To fix:

  1. Ensure Apple ID region = Nigeria
  2. Clear payment methods
  3. Reset music region via music.apple.com
  4. STOP + reactivate MTN Apple Music so MTN re-sends entitlement
  5. Sign out/in
  6. Turn on Sync Library

If not resolved → Apple Support must reset your Cloud Music Library region.
