Podcast issues after iTunes migration to Podcast & Apple Music apps

Just got a new Mac running Sequoia. The music in iTunes transferred fairly well to AppleMusic. The Podcasts are a nightmare.

I have saved Podcasts for CarTalk, Stuff you Should Know, and a couple others that are no longer being "cast". The Podcast app attempted to download the episodes for my 3 Podcasts that are still in iTunes (Apple Music, whatever). But none of the ones no longer offered. luckily, they seem to be showing (in completely random order) in the AppleMusic app. But the ones theoretically in the Podcast app are a disaster. Out of order. Duplicated. I had saved specific episodes on one podcast, but it TRIED to download all of them. And it failed to download all the episodes of the ones I want all of. I think. Since the interface is HORRIBLE, I can't really scan them easily.

Any suggestions for a better app are appreciated.
