Where is my apple refund money going to be deposited to?? Please help

Hi. A couple days ago I asked for a refund from Apple because of a subscription purchased that was made by accident. They approved my refund. The issue is that the original payment method that I used is no longer active. I had used my debit card, but since then I lost it and had to order a replacement meaning that the card number security code and dates are completely different now. I’m really worried because when they try to refund me, where is the money going since I don’t have access to the original card that was used. That card has been deactivated. It is roughly $80 I was refunded so it’s not an insignificant amount to me. I would really appreciate some help. Where is the money going? Is there anyway that I can get my refund to my new card? Is there somebody I can call to ask?

Thank you all.

This support article explains how to check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple, and how long it takes to receive a refund if you are granted one --> Check the status of a refund for apps or content that you bought from Apple - Apple Support

After you request a refund you'll receive a status update by email within 48 hours. IF your refund is approved (with a few exceptions Apple does not automatically grant refunds), the funds are applied to the same payment method that you used to buy the item.

This is not mentioned in the documentation but others have posted here that if Apple cannot find the method that was used to make the payment, they might send it to your bank which is then responsible for getting it transferred to your new card*. Another possibility is Apple will issue a credit balance to your Apple Account instead.

It would go to your bank account.

Any other question about your money/account and debit card should be directed towards your bank institution.
