thunderbolt 3 monitor

is it possible to connect a late 2012 Mac mini to thunderbolt 3 monitor, Mac mini has original thunderbolt. I don't want to use HDMI as it is limited to 1080P and my monitor supports 3440 x 1440.

I have tried the apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 adapter but that doesn't seem to work !!

New mac Mini to Apple thunderbolt 1 monitor Hello all, Can someone please asist as I am having all sorts of problems. Recently bought a new, 2021 mac mini and trying to connect it with my old Apple Thunderbolt 1 display. Can't find any adaptors that say thunderbolt to HDMI or Thunderbolt/USB 4. The closest I have found from Amazon is a mini-display port to HDMI. Would that work? Does Apple have something I can use? Thank you in advance for any assistance you can give. Be well, Lou

4K monitor for my late 2013 Mac Pro I've been looking to replace my old 17" thunderbolt 2.5Kx1.4K resolution monitor with something with better resolution. In looking at the specs, it seems as if the Thunderbolt 2 port on my Mac Pro will support mini display port output and a 4K monitor. My question is: can I then connect this to a mini-display port to display port adaptor to give me a larger selection of monitors? Thanks!

Problem now solved, used a mini display port to display port cable and can now view at 3440 x 1440.

The Apple thunderbolt 3 to thunderbolt 2 dongle when it comes to displays will only work with the apple Thunderbolt Display.. I'm sure amazon has a dongle which will work.
