I cannot use my Apple ID balance to buy from iTunes. The system is asking for a new valid credit card instead and I don't see the gift card balance option to make it my preferred form of payment. I don't want to use a CC. Please help

If you make purchases from more than one computer or device your displayed balance may be out of date. Signing out of the store and signing in again should refresh your view of it.

Thank you so much for your reply. I went through your suggested reading, and I'm still stuck. Maybe I should rephrase my question: Is it possible to change the payment method that I defined when I created my account?
