Lost Series 4 Watch

I can’t find my watch. It is offline. I put it in Lost Mode. Can it be used by a thief?

It will be locked and unusable. Leave it configured on your Apple ID (don’t delete it from your device collection) because that holds it in Activation Lock so it can’t be erased and reset by the thief.
