I created an account for my son - somehow 2 were setup on my phone but I cannot access either from the device he is meant to use! I can't find how to delete one of them and cannot set it up without creating another family user... Help, please!!

Unfortunately you won't be able to remove them yourself. Apple IDs aged under 13, cannot be deleted, only moved to a different Family Group.
You have a couple of choices:
On his device. you need to sign in with his account, not yours. You don't pull up the account from anywhere.

Is your son the only other device on your account that you set up for Family Sharing? If so, just remove the users, and set it up again. See these support document for instructions.
As you can see there are 2 - they each have their own sep ID though bc I got a message saying one wasn't avail and then it was there - so strange! Now I can't seem to figure out how to delete one of them.

What exactly did you do?
Why can't you access either? What happens when you try?
