Icloud backup - deleting PC backup

I recently moved in using icloud backup with a larger space.

I used to backup on my pc, but my pc is running low on storage and therefore i want to free some space (10 GB) - which is the backup size of my iphone.

Can I delete the local (PC) backup (and how), and keep/continue backing up on icloud only?

Thanks in advance.

iPhone 7, iOS 12

You can delete the iTunes backup on the PC if you want and continue to use iCloud Backup.

On the PC, open iTunes and click Preferences in the Edit menu; then click Devices in the Preferences window, select (highlight) the backup you want to delete and then click the Delete Backup button.
