cloud files

Why do files on my macbook pro disappear into the cloud so I have to be on the internet to view them. Is it a space issue? I seem to have lotson the device.

Macbook Pro Files Hello, I have a 2019 Macbook Pro and my files are constantly being thrown into the cloud and undownloaded from my computer. My storage isn't full, but I constantly have to click on the files and re download them to use them. This is a reoccurring issue with my mac and it is extremely frustrating. Please Help.

my MacBook Air is storing files even when downloaded to icloud I have added extra storage to the icloud. I have 200 gb. Yet my cimouter is out of storage. It seems that even though files are being uploaded to the cloud, it is being stored on my computer. I have run out of space. Should I be deleting files on my computer? Please assist
