Download iTunes/Playlist to iPad Pro A1876

I’m setting up my new iPad Pro Model A1876 and am having trouble downloading my iTunes Library and Playlists from my MacBook Pro. Is there an iTunes app equivalent to that on the MacBook Pro for the iPad Pro that can be downloaded? If not, do I have any options other than syncing to the MacBook each time (I have have been unsuccessful via iCloud)? My goal is to manage my iTunes Library and build playlists from the iPad Pro. Any advice, feedback and guidance will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rick
