I am trying to figure out how to move my text messages from Samsung Note 9 to IPhone XR. I understand that I can accomplish this thru Move to IOS app but I have already completely set up my IPhone and have been using. I dont understand what content / information I will lose?

as far as i know, the only way to use the move to ios app would be if you factory reset your iphone and set it up again.
Yes! You can make sure iCloud is turned on for certain apps.
However you cannot make a back up because a back up would include your restrictions passcode.
You could always restore your device from a back up from before you set the passcode.
When you factory reset you lose everything you have done and set up correct?
If so, can you back up text, photos, apps, passwords, etc. into iCloud then re-sync?
