Email from apple

I got an email from apple that my apple was suspended but when I went to fill out the stuff to get it unsuspended it asked for me social security. Ive never had apple ask for my social security number? is this a scam and I just gave my card and social number to a scammer

Yes. That was a scam. Apple will never ask for your social security number outside of Apple Pay Cash, and will also never send emails telling you your account has been suspended.


Contact your card issuer, and cancel your credit card immediately.

Contact the SS Administration and tell them your SSN has been compromised.
