If I’m a member of Apple Music why am I still being charged for downloads

Depends on where you are downloading from.


Being subscribed to Apple Music does not in any way preclude you from outright buying the songs from the iTunes Store.


Apple Music tracks can only be downloaded from the Browse and For You tabs in the Music App.


Anything you get in the iTunes Store App will be charged as a purchase outside of the Apple Music subscription service.
