I can't deauthorize devices I no longer have. I just want to authorize my present MacBook Pro, iPad and iPhone and get rid of the others that i no longer have.

I thought I had removed all the unused old devices from iTunes and wanted to authorize this MacBook pro but i keep getting a message that i cannot have more than 5 devices. What do I need to do? I no longer have several of the devices. I just want my present MacBook pro, iPad, and iPhone to be authorized for iTunes. Somewhere it said "just deauthorize all" but there's no option for that. This 71-year-old is at her wits' end!

There is no "Deauthorize All" button. I'm just given the option to "remove" the two devices (iPad and iPhone) that are listed. When I go to try to authorize this laptop, i still get the same message stating I have too many devices

From Authorize or deauthorize your computer for iTunes Store purchases - Apple Support:

If you run out of authorizations, deauthorize all

If one of your 5 authorizations is on a computer that you don't use anymore, deauthorize it. If you sold or gave away a computer that's used one of your 5 authorizations, you need to choose Deauthorize All on the Account Information page. * Then authorize each computer that you still use.

* I.e. Use the menu option Account > View My Account > {Enter password} > tap Deauthorize All button.
