Hello,

1) Try cleaning it: How to clean your AirPods and EarPods

2) If no help, try this:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Audio/Visual and scroll down to “Balance L vs R” (Adjust the audio volume balance) and make changes.

Good luck.

I suffered problems when I upgraded to an iPhone 8 which doesn't have the 3.5mm headphone jack socket. Thus far, I have had 2 different adaptors and in both cases, the jack plug wouldn't work properly. On the 2nd one, the jack plug wouldn't stay in the socket.

This might sound in poor taste, but it worked for these people: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/7914268
