Separate work and home Apple IDs

How do I separate my work Apple ID from my home Apple ID? I’ve merged the two emails and don’t know how to separate them into two different Apple IDs.

If they are the same ID, one Apple ID can't be split into two IDs. You will need to create a new ID. The new ID can't use an email address associated with the existing ID.

You can then try to set up Family Sharing between the 2 IDs to share purchases.

Yes, both are the same Apple ID now. I think I added one of the email addresses when I got a new phone in the past. And now I’d like to split them up: one ID with my work email and one Apple ID with my home email.
