Hi, my IPod model A1136 does not show under devices in my new copy of iTunes. Any advice please?

If you're running macOS 10.15 Catalina see What happened to iTunes? - Apple Support. Device management has been moved into Finder. Otherwise see If your computer doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support.
