Somewhere in-between shipping or diagnosis they shattered the back of my iPhone

My iPhone Xs blacked and I haven't been able to turn it back on, when I sent it in for repair (closest Apple Store is 3hours away). They said they couldn't fix it and sent it back. I'm not sure if it was in the shipping or during their diagnosis but somewhere in-between they shattered the back of it. I noticed they didn't put all the protective wrapping and stuff as they did the first time. What should I do?

I would immediately contact Apple Support (probably scheduling a call is better or you can chat if you want)

I would ask for a supervisor over the phone, have them look into your records for AppleCare and have it escalated.
