How can I remove a trojan virus from my iPhone?

I have an iPhone 6, (don't laugh, I have changed the battery twice myself, I had a flip phone before). While doing on-line shopping, etc. over the holidays I picked up a trojan virus. I was told by the IT guy at work that it was a fake just trying to get me to call the phone number. I found out about this when I connected my iPhone to my PC so it would charge. When connected it does auto download of pictures. So I have not corrected to PC for charging. How can I remove this trojan virus from my iPhone??? I have a complete backup of my iPhone.

Thank you for your time,

Have a FUN DAY,

Jerome

#1 A trojan and a virus are two very different things

#2 If your phone is not jailbroken, it can't be infected by anything at all.

It sounds like what you got was a bogus pop-up ad scam. They're fairly common. Ignore it and move on.

You're not infected with anything.

Thank you for your fast reply. I thought Trojan was the type of virus, but it is something completely different, THANK YOU. Then the only problem that I have, when I connect my iPhone to my PC, is that the "bogus scam" pops up and I only can turn off my PC with the power switch. Then the PC goes through the very long start up since I turned it off with the power switch. Then I run Windows Security, which takes time to do a complete scan. The scan comes back and tells me that it has quarantined the Trojan. Then you referred to "If your phone is not jailbroken, it can't be infected by anything at all". What is "jailbroken"??? I purchased my iPhone at Costco about 4 years ago.

Hi Jerome1948,

You can try running Malwarebytes on your PC and see if it finds anything.

Since you purchased your iPhone at Costco your iPhone is not jailbroken.

Jailbreaking is a way of hacking the software on the iPhone to add or modify it in a way it wasn't indented at purchase.

The pop ups will try to get your information and look very real so be careful of them and just ignore it.

I hope this helps and Happy New Year!
