iphone x freezes when I say reply to messages from whatsapp on the locked screen.Please help?

Start by Force ReStarting (Hard ReBoot) your iPhone.

Specific directions on how to perform this task is in this link Force restart iPhone - Apple Support

Once the iPhone has rebooted then try again and see if your issue persists or is it resolved.
