Catalina update ruined my MacBook Pro (15 inch mid 2015)

Among numerous other problems, including, but not limited to Safari not work and my e-mail having major issues, I can no longer upload files to the icloud. Every file I have created or worked on since the Catalina update is on my computer, but will not upload to icloud. Great, thanks Apple. I transitioned to apple 7 years ago from PC's for the same problems I know have with Apple. What happened and what's the fix? PC's had a simple System Restore answer, Apple has no answer, maybe someone here does.

Thank you.

Try going to System Preferences/iCloud (Apple ID for Catalina) and stop syncing by unchecking the box. Wait a couple of minutes, then check syncing. Allow time for the sync to complete.

Last resort  - have you tried signing out of iCloud and then sign back in?
