Does "Optimized Battery Charging" work with wireless charging?

I have never seen "Optimized Battery Charging" activated on my iPhone.

I only use wireless charging. Should it work?

iPhone 11 Pro, iOS 13

It is supposed to work on wireless as well as the wired method. Here is more information on Optimized Battery Charging About Optimized Battery Charging on your iPhone - Apple Support Note that I charge my iPhone wirelessly as well and have not seen it work thus far.

I does, however say this: "The algorithm aims to ensure that your iPhone is still fully charged when unplugged"

Unplugged. Could it mean that it only works when it's physically plugged in, I.E not wirelessly?
