App store says that Catalina is installed but my computer is on Maverick. What can I do?

Try restarting your Mac in Safe Mode, and repeat the exercise: Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac.

Find the Install macOS Catalina icon in that Mac's Applications folder, and launch it.
I did that and now it just sits at the install screen. I agree and then press install but nothing happens.
