where do i find my imessages on the icloud?

Hello

I need to restore my mom's phone to factory settings however, some old text messages from her husband who has pasted are on the phone. She has the messages backed up in icloud however, we can't find them when we log into icloud. Should there be an icon we can click on?

Thanks!

As per the article https://support.apple.com/en-in/HT204136

Cloud backups include nearly all data and settings stored on your device. iCloud backups don't include:

  • Data that's already stored in iCloud, like Contacts, Calendars, Notes, iCloud Photos, iMessages, Voice Memos, text (SMS) and multimedia (MMS) messages, and Health data*
  • You can't view messages icon in iCloud.com and there is no icon for messages to be clicked .
