I just got a call saying there was suspicious activity on my iCloud account. It wanted me to continue with the call to speak to someone ... I’m suspicious by nature so rather than continue the call I came here to see if this had happened to anyone else and what (if anything) happened?
Unfortunately, there are more and more of these scam calls every day. Stay alert for all of them.
Apple does not make such calls.
All such calls are scams from criminals attempting to steal your personal and financial information. The callers will often use number spoofing to pretend they are calling from a legitimate business. The correct course of action is to hang up on them, repeatedly if needed.Â
Avoid phishing emails, fake 'virus' alerts, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support
