How can i turn off the Maps notifications? i dont need to know how long it will take to drive home

How do I turn off all notifications when using maps? Whenever I use Apple Maps I still get all my notifications. I do not want to see my texts or emails when driving it is super distracting. I try do not disturb but it doesn’t help since my phone is still on.

Apple Maps automatic directions IOS Every time I get into my car, Maps pops a notification with directions to where it thinks I’m going. It’s most annoying, I don’t need it, and I can’t figure out how to make it stop. Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help.

Maps I received a notification that maps marked my location but I was not using maps on my phone nor did I ask it to mark my location. Why would maps do this on its own??

from the lock screen swipe left to get to the widget screen and then select edit>turn off map destinations.
