Old IPod and email

10 + years ago, I had an iPod and downloaded iTunes music for the iPod. I had a desktop computer then as well.

At the time, I also had an AOL email address. I would occasionally use the iPod to listen to some old music downloads.

Now for the problem....

in the years after, I switched over to iPhone for all my music and have a current Apple ID and Gmail which I use.

I lost my iPod, desktop is long gone, and AOL email is history as well.

How can I find the purchased music on my iPod that is connected to an old AOL email and Apple password.

So if I’m understanding what you are saying correctly, if you have more than one Apple ID with purchased music on each, then you cannot combine the music from each onto the same iPod to listen to. You have to choose which you want n switch back n forth between accounts or do you completely have to wipe n redownload each if want to switch or it as simple as logout n login between each on said iPod??

also, while on subject, I’ve had same Apple ID since my first iPhone (3), or whenever I intitially set it up (no idea), the original email address that I am recognized by I no longer have (I forgot email password and when try to restore it the phone number I have associated with it I no longer have either, the security questions set up for it are ridiculous and I am 99% sure I wouldn’t have picked my favorite sports team in middle school, nor the answer to the other ? Actually correct ( 2nd one is first pets name, which obviously most people as well ask remember such info and wouldn’t have another answer possible; all spellings n capitalization combos possible (over like 15) have been tried as well. So, my question, I have gmail app n yahoo mail app on phone currently while not being able to use main “mail” tab on phone in probably 8 years because of this. So I have lots of pictures, numbers, and other info and items associated to this id and am really paranoid that at some point my accessibility to anything in general is going to be compromised, or I’m just going to have to create a new or current Apple ID that has working and current info associated with it and have to restart, fill out, and set up absolutely everything again. That thought is so daunting that I’m almost about to just can Apple all together bc it effects the functionality of my phone and accessibility to certain things, and certain features I’m unable to use or take advantage of because of this. So there is no way to transfer all the data in this account into a new current one if I created it???
