Outgoing Mail not working from my MacBook Pro

I have a Macbook Pro (late 2013) with macOS High Sierra. My outgoing mail stopped working. I can still receive emails, just not send them. I keep getting timed out, then a message telling me to select a different outgoing mail server but I don't know how to fix. I even tried mail connection doctor but that didn't work either. Can anyone help?

Select the SMTP server settings in the Mail Preferences Accounts settings, and edit those SMTP server settings, select your outgoing SMTP server, and make what’s shown there match what your mail provider requires.

Mail has two sets of credentials. One for reading and receiving. POP or IMAP. One for sending. SMTP or ESMTP. Your send settings are wrong, or somehow corrupted. Which means reviewing and probably changing your SMTP server settings for this email account.
