Compatibility with apps

I just found my ipad after it being in storage for years. I restored it to factory settings and updated it. Since its old it can go past ios 9.3.5 which wouldn't be an issue if I could download any apps. But unfortunately even apps like spotify are no longer compatible, making the ipad virtually useless to me now. Is there any way to be able to download older versions of apps that would be compatible?

Ipad mini 1 gen I still have an old ipad mini 1 gen and is working perfectly. The problem is that all the apps are not compatible for this device. This is a bad atitude from apple. we should have access to those older versions even if we had to pay a symbolic price. I´m sure this has to do with sell more products (because there are many apps that would still work fine on ipad mini and other older devises) but is sad to have a high cost device that has potencial be unusable. I wouldn´t even have access to garageband if i had not downloaded it a few years ago... it´s a shame... Not going to buy an ipad any time soon for sure...

Ios upgrade for ipad mini Hi, I have ipad mini, which is having ios version 9.3.5. Since most of the applications doesn't support this version so i am not able to install the new applications. There is no more updates from apple as well to upgrade the ios. Is there any way, i can download new applications in this ipad? I tried the 'purchase' option in the app store, but its showing only those apps which were earlier installed in the ipad. no option to download any new app. please help me, now this ipad is kind of useless for me.

Hello,

I am sorry, iPad mini (1st generation) is a nearly decade old device and is incompatible with most, if not all, software available on the App Store. There is no way to download older versions of these applications.
