All of my iOS devices are no longer connecting to iTunes on my Win7 PC.

What has changed? The only thing i did was upgrade my iTunes to v12.10.5.12 yesterday, and now today, i can no longer connect my devices to iTunes. I've tried my iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad and nothing works. Interestingly, i am able to connect to iTunes on my laptop, which is running Win10 and iTunes v12.10.5.12. So it looks to me like the iTunes upgrade broke things for Win7 PC only.

Note: my Win7 PC has all the latest updates, and it was not updated recently. So the only thing that has changed in my environment is my iTunes version.

Also, i did contact Apple Support and they walked me through uninstalling and reinstalling my iTunes, but it didn't work. I'm thinking it is not a Win7 nor a driver problem, as i can see that my PC detects my devices when connected (ie. i hear the sound and i get the windows pop-up showing that the device is detected and connected).

I did say the very bottom - here are the most recent three sets of installers:

Thanks for the tip (and the very excellent KB article), but this did not help.

Like i said, i don't think it is a driver problem as Win7 actually recognizes my device and connects to it. It's only iTunes which does not detect my devices. Also, it's happening with ALL my Apple devices, so i'm quite certain it's a problem with the latest version of iTunes (for Win7).

Do you have any third party security software? This can sometimes be the cause of connection problems. Certain iTunes updates will include updated drivers, 12.10.5.12 adds support for iOS 13.4. Windows has generic drivers that may detect connected devices, for example allowing access to the camera roll, but iTunes may want to use another set that aren't working properly. Explicitly selecting the correct driver even when Windows claims that isn't necessary may be the way to fix things. The user tip also suggests that reinstalling iTunes while running the installer as the administrator might help.

Yes, I am running security software, but nothing has changed on my PC. The only change was the upgrade of iTunes. Thanks for your help, but I really believe this to be an issue with iTunes running in a Win7 environment and, at this point, i'm waiting to hear back from Apple Support/Engineering.

What does the community say? Does anyone have the latest version of iTunes (ie. 12.10.5.12) running on a Win7 PC and is able to connect to your devices on iTunes?

Working here for me, Windows 7, iTunes 12.10.5.12, iOS 13.4 on iPhone 11 Pro Max. You might try temporarily disabling your security software, then reinstalling iTunes by right-clicking the downloaded setup file and using the Run as administrator option. Just because iTunes is the only thing that you've updated doesn't mean that interactions with other software aren't involved.

Yes, you did say the very bottom, my bad...

Ok, so i've tried uninstalling the older version, and i reinstalled v12.10.4.2 (which was actually the version i was running), but unfortunately, i am still unable to connect my devices to iTunes. Something else i'm not aware of must have changed on my PC. I'm afraid you're not going to be able to help me any further with this problem. But i do want to thank you for all your help. I will post here once i find a solution.
