MacBook Pro, factory reset. Now no longer a drive to install os

So I tried to factory reset my MacBook Pro... I started the mac in recovery mode, went to disk utility and erased the internal drive. after erasing it i went to OS reinstall. I have an established internet connection so I'm able to start the process to reinstall the OS but when it comes time to select the disk i want the OS to be placed on there are no options available.

in disk utility I have the following..,

Try reformatting the disk “Apple SSD....”

add a partition called Macintosh HD and format as APFS.

then try again and see if you can reinstall.
