Just bought my first iMac A1224 running OS El Capitan 10.11.6(early 2008) i need to upgrade OS,Firstly What can i upgrade too,and secondly How difficult is it for a total newbie like myself to perform said upgrade,

macOS Catalina’s minimum requirements are Macintosh models released in 2012 and later.
thanks for the quick response,does this mean if i wanted a more up to date OS the only option i have is to purchase a newer model imac
well they certainly left that info out the sales pitch ,Here is a piece of usefull info to anybody starting out in the tech world ,DONT RELY ON THE GLOSSY PICTURES AND THE HONESTY OF THE SELLER
