Notes
My Notes were eliminated from my iPhone X during an OS upgrade with my iPhone. However, they are in my AOL Mail listing under Notes on my Mac desktop. How do I move the Notes from my AOL Mail listing to my iPhone Note folder?

bp243,
Notes cannot be renamed as it a placeholder that shows all your notes. However, you can rename the New Folder since it's a custom folder.
This link will also provide more details: Search and organize your notes in folders on iPhone
Take care.
Thanks again! Your answers clear up my questions so quickly. Now would you save all three or just one or two? (What's interesting is that I never saved anything to AOL or iCloud...just my iPhone, but when the new OS was installed my iPhone notes flipped to AOL. Unsure how they got on iCloud.)
Hello bp243,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities. I understand there is an issue with missing notes and would be happy to help.
Make sure the AOL account is listed in Settings > Passwords & Accounts. If it is, turn on notes for it: If you're missing notes on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Thanks and have a wonderful day.
bp243,
That is completely up to you how you would like to save your notes. One will save specifically to those accounts while the other saves locally. It depends on what fits your needs.
You might find this information helpful about using Notes with iCloud: Use Notes on your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
If you need anything further, you can also reach out to Apple Support directly: Contact Apple Support
Cheers.
bp243,
Those separate the accounts used and areas stored for notes.
Enjoy.
Once again, thank you! This is really helpful to get the big picture. So, on my Notes screen there are three categories: iCloud, Notes (blank plus 2 folders), AOL Notes (1 misc. notes) and On my iPhone Notes (blank plus 1 folder). Why are there three categories (iCloud, AOL, and On my Phone)?
Thanks so much! That was really helpful. This is what it now says. Is there any way to rename the Notes and New Folder?
