screen display is black

I have a iPhone X and just afew days ago, the screen display went black. The phone is still on and works, holds a charge, but I am not able to see the screen. I was this was a defect with this Apple phone? If so, will Apple be able to repair or replace?

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support ⬅︎ try this to see if you can get it started...

⬇︎⬇︎

  1. Press and quickly release the volume up button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume down button.
  3. Press and hold the side button.
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the button.


If your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch won't turn on or is frozen - Apple Support
