Brightness
Why does my brightness change ? I could have my brightness all the way up and then it would dim a bit but when I look at the brightness level its still the same.
i don’t have night shift or auto brightness on.

I don't know which iPhone you have and I don't know which version of iOS you are using. I am will need make some assumptions to provide an answer. Lets double check and make sure that Auto Brightness is set to OFF-
Open Settings âž” Accessibility âž” Display & Text Size âž” Auto - Brightness SET THIS TO OFF.

I have a new iPhone SE, it’s doing the same thing. Brightness can go up or down at any time. Like you, I have auto brightness set to OFF. I thought True Tone was the culprit, but turning it off did not help. Night shift is off as well. All that’s left as a cause is a bug in iOS. I’m using 13.4.1.
