Deleting apps on Mojave desktop

Apple states that deleting an application is sufficient to remove it. I wonder if there are fragments leftover that are not deleted by this operation. There are apps that commit to doing this. Are these useless, or is apple not being fully forthcoming?

You may get some left over folders / files once an app is deleted from the Mac. You’d be best to contact the manufacturer of that app as they often detail which additional folders can be removed also. They shouldn’t be causing any harm though.
