how do I return an iphone x that I found using only the IMEI?
I found a new iphone on the beach. The phone had been reset and all owner info erased. How do I get the phone back to the owner using IMEI?

You don’t. Turn it in to the lost & found where you found it, or to the local police. That’s where the owner would go to look for it.
