Apple TV+
My new iPhone comes with a free year of Apple TV+. Does anyone know if this makes all shows that you have to pay for free? (Do all shows become free on Apple TV+ with the free year?)
You are confusing the Apple TV app with the Apple TV + streaming service. These are two totally separate products, the content in the Apple TV app MUST have a subscription to each. However, if you already have a subscription it will not work in the Apple TV app, you must subscribe in the app. Yes, it's confusing but once you understand the ground rules it begins making sense.
The Apple TV+ streaming is for content in that app. You can pay $4.99 per month, or you may qualify for a 1 year free subscription if you bought a qualifying Apple product or you can subscribe by the year to get a discount on the monthly fee.
