Apple TV Local Content Access after Moving Internationally

So I've been housing all of my iTunes files at home and serving them locally instead of streaming for years which has worked well for me to keep my bandwidth usage low and to be able to load files faster on my Apple TV's throughout my home. The problem is, when we moved from California to Taiwan, I set everything back up and while I can browse my iTunes server and see the files, I cannot watch them on the Apple TV's. I get an error saying that "This Content Can't Be Played On This Apple TV".

I can watch home videos that I imported but anything that came from Apple and is DRM'd won't play. I can watch them on my Mac's but just not the Apple TV's. The other thing that's weird is that the original thumbnails don't show anymore. Now it's just a frame of the video.

I've factory reset the Apple TV's and spent time fussing with the settings but nothing seems to work.

I'm certain this has something to do with me trying to watch my content in a new country but I still have access to my content when its streamed from Apple, just not from my server. 🤔

What gives?

Try playing the media files through AirPlay. And set the Apple TV AirPlay Settings to Play Purchases from iCloud﹥Off. Does that make a difference?

Your Apple ID’s billing address sets the region of the account. The purchases on that account are only valid in that region. If you did change the region for your account, then your previous purchases may have become inaccessible. I sympathize with international movers, and how inconvenient this is, but that is how it works with the current licensing.

If you are using a different Apple ID account in the new country, then the purchases on the previous account are not accessible as if they were from a different user.
