New Apple TV app in iMac is not playing purchased movies and tv shows

New Apple TV app in iMac is not playing purchased movies and tv shows. I've tried all the Restart you app, Restart your Mac, Sign in and out, Open in Safe mode but nothing works. Its been more than 2 months that I've not viewed my purchased movies and tv shows. Do you know any solutions for this?

My one tried and true way to get it to open without much of a hassle is to disconnect from the internet then it seems to come-up okay. I can then reconnect and it will work for a while. Apple TV App on MacOS (Monterey) does not play content Hi, The Apple TV app on my MacBook ((Intel Pro 16") running the latest OS-version (Monterey) refuses to play content all of a sudden. The app itself does start normally, it shows me the movies/series/... it even knows the "status" (watched episodes) of the series I've (partially) watched, but when I try to actually start streaming content nothing happens! I can't play one single piece of content (movies, episodes of series, stuff from my local library, trailers) all of a sudden (started acting last week. It looks like something is messed up in my (local or iCloud) account as when I log in as another user on this very same laptop and then start the Apple TV app, I am able to start streaming (only tested it with a trailer as that other account is not attached to an iCloud ID so I can't play any subscription content). Problem is I don't know what - already cleared the TV app's cache and settings (which is really painful as it also removed your viewing history :( ) but it didn't help. Don't think it is iCloud related either as I am able to watch content on my iPhone, iPad and Apple TV device. Brings me to the conclusion that something is messed up in the settings in my MacBook account - if I only knew where to look for. Anybody else in here experienced the same. Any advice? Rgds, Jan.

Could you please expand on what you mean by "not playing". Can you see them but the they won't start, does they start then stop, do you not even see them?

I can see the titles/icons in the Library. If i play them either nothing happens or the movie players pops out but closes on its own.

Yes. I went through all the steps posted in Apple Support to check why the app is not working.
