Attempting to use my older 2011 iMac running High Sierra as a secondary monitor to my newer 2013 iMac. Connected with Mini Display connected in the Thunderbolt ports and not working. The Command-F2 or Command-Fn-F2 key strokes don't do the trick. HELP!

Oh wait,,. you said Mini Display! Wrong cable. :)
Target display mode requires macOS High Sierra or earlier on the iMac used as the external display. It does not work with macOS Mojave or later.
A tech guy told me to use the mini player cable! Way too many people with way too many suggestions. However, I’ll get the other cable tomorrow and see if it magically works!
I appreciate your help and will take any suggestions.

Yes, I have two that I’ve tried. Wired and wireless. Neither is doing the job!
