Calendar month view

Now instead of the detail of events previously displayed in the monthly calendar I only see dots. This is very disturbing as I have events every day and the weekly or daily view which still shows event details does nor suffice. This was a terrible upgrade! Is there anyway I can adjust settings to display the detail view in monthly calendar?
