icloud backup from a 128 gb iphone 7 to a 64 gb iphone 11

hello,

i would like to backup aprox 100 gb worth of information from my older iphone 7 (128 gb capacity), including photos.

the thing is that my new iphone has only 64 gb.

is there a posibility to select what to download from the backup when setting up the new device?

i would like to exclude the photos from the backup. to keep them only in icloud and to be able to see them there only.

also - noticed one thing - only 2gb are shown as "photos" the rest is included in the back-up. does anybody know why?

thank you!

No. Backups are restored in their entirety.

Are you using the iCloud Photo Library now? settings > [your name] > iCloud > iCloud Photos = ON

If so, your photos aren't included in your backup.
