AMD 5500m BootCamp Driver Update? Needed for games!
Some of us purchased a MacBook Pro 16 in hopes to use the windows BootCamp partition to play games. I even purchased the 8GB GPU upgrade to have plenty of power to run my games. I can successfully run some games like Overwatch. As soon as I try to open Call of Duty: Modern Warfare... Game over! When running the Predator game, the image is slowed down. The drivers for the GPU are from 11/29/2019 and have not been updated since. It causes the game to not display colors or shades properly. You can see the game is capable of running but it stopped by outdated drivers for the AMD GPU. You do not have the option of getting the generic 5500m drivers directly from AMD either. For some odd reason, there is a section dedicated to BootCamp Drivers. The only other option I see is to delete the official and actually safe (very outdated) drivers and install unofficial drivers found in the internet. That is clearly the unsafe option and the one option Apple should keep its users from trying. So, when should we expect Apple to allow AMD to give us a driver update for the 5500m card so we can keep our devices safe?
