I upgraded my MacBook Pro to macOS Catalina 13.6 and so, I have had a disappointing experience. Firstly (and most annoyingly) the laptop crashes or simply freezes at about 5min after boot, regardless of if I actually login or not.
Also, it is so much slower.

I restarted in safe boot and created a new account but to no avail. I had really time critical work had to reformat, thank God for git. Catalina. SMH
What is "Catalina 13.6"? Do you mean 10.15.6?
Try restarting in Safe Mode. It will be slow, but the important thing is: does it crash?
If not, then create a new user account, restart normally and log in to the new account.
Does it still crash?
There is not enough time to run the tool before the computer freezes. Is there any alternative method to boot or something. I hope I don’t lose my data over this
I forgot to add that I have boot camp in the computer if this is relevant
