my email is not working. I have connection to the internet but cannot get anything to appear from mail
I have gone into finder and mail in applications but when I click on it nothing happens
any suggestions? It was working fine on July 21 but today nothing

Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at startup), does the problem occur in Safe Mode?
Safe mode attempts to repair Disks & clears lots of caches & loads safe Drivers, & prevents loading of 3rd party extensions, so if Safe Mode works try again in regular boot.
