iPhone 11 plus not staying connected to my MacBook Pro.

I got a MacBook Pro 15 inch mid 2015 and an iPhone 11Pro Max and I can't seem to connect them with each other. When I connect my phone to my MacBook the connection seems to be appearing and disappearing, so connect, disconnect, connect, disconnect, ect. It doesn't stay connected long enough to press trust.

It only appears to be the connection between my iPhone and MacBook Pro, if I connect any other usb device it stays connected. My tomtom Go could stay connected for 45min in a row when preforming an big map update.

I have ran out of ideas on how to fix it, please help....

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15
