I have a monthly charge of 99 cents for iCloud which I would like to stop. How can I do that?

For iCloud storage? Cancel by downgrading to the free 5GB plan. See instructions in: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT207594

The “done” button does not light up at the end of the process, so pressing it has no effect. The previous iCloud level continues to display.

Does it show a date when the current plan renews or expires? If so, what is the exact wording around that date?
