How many months should I pay for 50GB storage upgrade? Is there any way you to get lifetime plan? What if I stop renewing my upgrade plan?

There is no lifetime plan and no billing option other than monthly billing. You pay for it monthly until you cancel by downgrading back to the free 5GB plan. You would keep it for as long as you want to use the storage. The following has information about what happens when you downgrade. Downgrade your iCloud storage - Apple Support
