Iphone XR Battery management

Hey! Is it advisable to use my XR with ‘Low Power mode’ turned on all the time since the day of purchase? Does the constant use of Low Power mode increases battery lifespan?

iPhone XR, iOS 13

Low Power Mode should be used when you are low on battery charge and need to use your iPhone efficiently as far as the charge is concerned. Once you have had an opportunity to charge up your iPhone then Low Power Mode is not needed.

If you are thinking that keeping the iPhone in Low Power Mode all the time somehow helps the battery lifespan then you are wrong. Low Power Mode will just slow your iPhone down and you will not be able to fully enjoy the iPhone.

My recommendation is that enjoy your iPhone without the Low Power Mode (unless it is needed) and do not worry too much about the battery. The average lifespan of an iPhone battery is a little over 2 years when the battery health goes below 80%. You are not going to be able to increase that lifespan by much at all by using Low Power Mode.
